Grammy Post-Party Fug Carpet: Renee Olstead

Strip away everything but the corset and the skirt, and there might be an outfit lurking here somewhere:

But as it is, Renee Olstead decided to spruce up her ensemble with one of her favorite linen napkins, and a brocade suit jacket her mother wore on her Honeymoon thirty years ago -- a blazer she of course passed through a pair of scissors before she donned it.

Fraulein Maria might have sculpted something like this from the Von Trapp guest bedroom, had she suffered a head injury first.

I especially love the two tortilla chips that are pretending to be her feet.

I know I'm out of it and all, but am I supposed to know who she is? Is she really 12, or does she just look like it?

Is it just that as being somewhat rich &/or famous, one loses all her girlfriends who might tell her honestly, "that outfit isn't great" or something of the likes? It is a really sad thing, she's a really cute girl...

She is very young, probably 16 or 17. My mom used to represent her in Houston, Texas (mom was a talent agent), I am so glad she is doing well! Don't fug a teen, that is the time when one should experiment and be allowed to wear those funky clothes. She was always the cutest little redhead! Yay Renee.

actually might be younger than 16...

Normally, I'm all about the hate, but girl is only 14 years old. If she keeps making Fug, she might end up on the pipe.

Hey, all's fair in fug and war.

LOL Heather :) True true! Anyway, at least she's going to the granny extreme and not the skanky extreme. ;)

I love that corset. The skirt is too...granny. The rest has been covered, I'd say.

I don't get the jacket... too big, for one.

I just love scrolling down slowly to savor the horror from
top to bottom. I was however a little disappointed that
after the scarf came "ugly brown full lenghth cotton
skirt" rather than wide brown plaza pants.

Girls, you know I love you madly but an identifying adjective or noun about some of these lesser-known fugsters who are enjoying their fifteen minutes' .... it would help so much. Some of us are woefully uninformed.

you're right of course, but if you ever get the chance to hear this girl sing, you will believe that she has the spirit of a 40s jazz singer dwelling within her. She's an AMAZING talent that's wasting away on sit com television.

I think this is the girl that plays the daughter on "Still Standing". You know, the show with Mark what-is-his-name from "The Full Monty", and that brunette chick from all the 80s movies.

Chronic and serial fug dresser. Get your butt to Express and dress your age.

Why can I never see pictures of from Imageshack??

*goes mental*

Kitten, ImageShack turns off the hotlinking after a certain number of hits. You can search the celebrity's name on the DailyCeleb page and maybe find the photo in question.

Please, FugDivas--if you would just give the name of the DailyCeleb portfolio you're linking to, it would be an enormous help.

At first I thought the jacket was styled with that neckline, but...it's not. She's just pushed a cute little jacket back over her shoulders, hasn't she? I can only imagine that the fabric bunching in the sleeves is repeated in the back as well. Somebody buy this girl a mirror.

The outfit is a layering disaster but it's nice to see someone who's 14 covered up a bit. What with la Peldon and that crack whore prom dress, I was starting to think no one under the age of 18 wore clothes any more. Plus, she looks like she hasn't succombed to the pressure to diet herself to death. So I'd give her a 4 for the outfit but a 9 for potential.

I was at this party and saw her arrive as I waited out front for my friends. Not only did I have no clue who she was, I was 100% sure I would find her on your site. This skirt that everyone talks about...well that thing over it - it's a slip. It's grandma's old dirty looking, wrinkled slip. She had it pulled up on the side in a horrible manner with a ratty safety pin. She's a very cute girl in person but she's a bit of a train wreck in the making. She did scream at her mom to take her purse before "walking the red carpet."
Oh and Mandy's dress was less scary in person. She didnt' look like an enormous oaf like she does in that photo. I heart Mandy.

I have to admit that I like this outfit -- then again, I'm a big fan of the layered skirts/pants look.

I have a feeling that somebody's mom saw the original outfit--the corset, ass wrap, and maybe a smaller skirt? and made her cover up. "You are not leaving the house without sleeves/straps till you're 16! and don't think you're about to leave my sight showing that much leg..." etc etc. Just my 2 cents. That's what my mother would have said, at least.

You are so right! It's nice to see girls nowadays taking an interest in family heirlooms like linens, curtains and table cloths. Just think what Scarlett could have done with this bounty!

I kind of like this ensemble. Okay, I'll go back to my bo-ho closet.

Two tortilla chips pretending to be her feet! That one made me laugh until I cried. The tortilla chip feet are so funny!

oh hunny, you're supposed to leave your dinner napkin at the dinner table...here...let me take that for you

That is a horrendous get-up. But this chick-let is on some lame sitcom. Anyway, they had this 1940s style musical number showcase for her and she had a set of pipes so strong and so mature, I actually had to google the show to find out who she is. She might not have much sartorial style, but her way with a tune is truly exceptional.
STAB (Sorry This Aint Bitchy)

maybe she just dropped some toothpaste on her trousers before she left the house and grabbed the nearest mini sarong/peasant headscarf to cover it up.

Renee is 15, is an accomplished actress and has just started a singing career as well. She really enjoys singing old jazz songs and is EXCELLENT at it. Why not support her and wish her luck instead of putting her down. Why put her down because she likes to wear what SHE wants to wear instead of going along with everyone else. If she did that then you guys would put her down for not having her own style. Try being POSITIVE with Renee and in your life and you will be happier.

You obviously missed the purpose of this site.

It's too bad, it would be a really cute outfit if not for that unfortunate jacket and snotrag she added on.

Who is she? Who are you? Regardless... at least the colors don't look too bad on her.
