Last time we saw Evan "Dita" Rachel "Von Teese" Wood, she had broken up with Marilyn Manson but was still piling on the makeup as if she were impersonating his ex. Except that Evan Rachel Wood is, like, barely 21, and needs a face full of slap about as much as I need to rub butter all over my face and then let it bake in the sun.

Okay, so it's not like she's wearing NO makeup -- there's still quite a bit there -- but we are not being ASSAULTED by it in a dark alley and then mugged for good measure. Instead of thinking to myself, "Holy cats, she is wearing an entire container of MAC shadow on each eye," I am thinking, "Aw, she is so pretty." So in that respect, I declare this VICTORY IN OUR TIME, and greatly hope she won't throw it back in my face by dipping her face in a vat of melted crayons.
