No, you are not experiencing fugja vu:

[All photos: WENN.com]
I woke up this morning thinking I'd take a stab at fugging Heather Graham in this dress, which she wore a few days ago, only to find out Kristin Cavallari wore it last night and that her appearance was already in the fug pipeline.
Still, I forged ahead undaunted. Because they don't seem to be EXACTLY the same: Cavallari's appeared to be brown, whereas I think Graham's is fervently putting the "little" in "little black dress." Cavallari's was tighter; Graham's doesn't look stellar on her boobs, either, but at least they have room to breathe and I'm not concerned they're going to explode in protest. K.Cav picked summery, casual beige pumps, but Graham wanted strappier prom shoes. And while Cavallari's looks a little bit more like it's a bundle of safety pins away from being an homage to Elizabeth Hurley's infamous red-carpet debut, Heather's slits look a lot more like they have a backing panel. Because seriously, if that was flesh under those cutouts, we'd be on as intimate terms with her anatomy as her physician.
Graham's is also shorter, I think, which can lead to problems like this one:

Things sometimes scoot up when you walk, and I think Heather is learning the hard way that her upper inner thighs want their moment in the sun.
So which lady pulled it off better? Can the "better" backhanded compliment even be given? And what could be done? Ditch one of the two rows of cutouts? Make them fewer in number? Keep the length? Change the neckline? A third color? Add a cardigan or a wrap or some other accessory to distract from how few favors it's doing EITHER of their boobs? A totally different, edgier approach to accessories and shoes altogether? A totally different wearer? Usually I like to endorse one idea or the other, but honestly, I'm not sure if I think it can be saved.
I MIGHT be curious to see it on Rihanna, with punky sandals and an overlayer of some kind, her funky hairdo, a kick-ass purse, and some jewelry -- as seen here, it seems like a rock-and-roll dress being worn like they're at a high-school dance.
Have at it, friends. The usual commenting rules apply -- keep it focused, on-topic, polite, etc. We cherish you.

It would be more fun on Rihanna, if the "cutouts" were backed in something bright pink.
Ick all around. The only way to fix this is to go home and change. Cute shoes, though.
I think the dress would look great on a hollywood girl with no boobs and little bitty legs. It really doesn't do anything for either of these girls.
Add a jacket. I do like Sarah's idea of making the cutouts bright pink. Cover up your upper half when your lower half is that exposed.
I can't help but think, I would love to wear this dress because it feels so daring, but I keep thinking about flashing someone.
But it doesn't look like that is flesh from the back of the dress in the second picture...I think.
I commend Heather for taking the risk.
I think Kristin needs to figure out what size she wears.
HEATHER'S THIGHS. MAKE THE DRESS. WANT.
I think it works better on K. Cav, if she would only go up a size and I also really like the idea of changing the color of the cutouts to a blue or something.
I seriously thought I was having fugja vu! I had to scroll up and down twice to figure out what had happened. I don't understand why these, and many other, women with nice boobs want to squash them so they look like they are preparing to play the part of a man in a reverse-Shakespearian play (where all the parts are played by women.) KCav looks like she's just left the ER having experienced some severe chestal pain and the only remedy is extreme bondage.
But back to the comparison: the black shoes are nicer than those other ugly ones. As for the dress--whaddevah.
Even though it's waaaaay too tight.....the dress looks better on Kristin. I think Heather's shoes are fugging it up even more than the 'droopy boob' factor is.
All that being said - I don't really like it on either one of them!
While I am curious to see what it would look like on Rihanna, I have a feeling that I wouldn't like it too much on her either. But then again, I'm biased against spandex, tube dresses, with cutouts on the side...
My vote is for both of them to go home change. There has to be SOMETHING in their closets that's sexy, youthful, and fun!
Count me in the "Ew" category. These cut-out dresses remind me of little-girl swimsuits. I can still remember a little cousin proudly showing me the tanned shape of a flower on her belly, where the sun had shone through the cut-out on her favorite swimsuit. I thought it was cool, then.
But on grown women? It's just a new way to wear fewer and fewer clothes, and pull attention away from the face, where the attention ought to be, in case any of these Barbies actually say something meaningful. Soon they will just give it up entirely and go around naked. And by the way, get off my lawn, you little whippersnappers.
You're right. This is a rock and roll dress and needs accompanying guitar riff and attitude. And jewelry. And mega shoes. Maybe a Jack Sparrow meets Russell Brand meets Freddie type too.
Having said that, I don't like the dress. Who made it? Jack the Ripper?
Neither one. This "style" is a mistake on anyone but a flat-chested 18-year-old.
Neckline? May as well call it what it is: a boobline.
The dress is slutty looking but tries to get away with it by pretending to be edgy and rock & roll. The dress looks like it was inspired by a boring accountant with an STD. VERDICT: The only way to right this wrong is to send this dress back to the fires of sartorial hell from whence it came.
I agree with Jenna. Surprisingly, I liked it better on Kristin. I can't tell for sure if her cutouts are genuine or if there is a backing fabric, but they look realer to me, and I say, if you're going to wear something with those cutouts, at least make them real. Who wants to see flesh colored tights material all up somebody's body?
Obviously, she needs to go up a size. OR TWO. But somehow she made it more interesting.
the only way to unfug it on Heather would be for her to magically be 10 years younger again...isn't she like 35 by now?
It's just a fugly dress, and shoes and accessories aren't going to change it. For some reason it gave me flashbacks to cheesy bird cage dancers seen in 60's movies. You know, the kind Austin Powers is making fun of.
I just don't like these types of dresses, because they remind me of something my daughter would do in a craft class--fold the paper over and over, cut triangles, open it up, et voila, diamonds! Cut-out dresses don't do anyone any favors, and Heather's is too short, Kristin-whoever-she-is's is too small, and it's slutty in not-the-good way. All in my most humble opinion, of course.
P.S. Suzy at 11:03, funny!
Forget the dress why does Heather look so much like Rose McGowan in the first picture?
I like both, though the brown one was clearly too small. I would totally wear this if I could. with some kick ass shoes. like the pair of mcqueen heels that daniella used on fashion show the other week. you know the ones. though I'd go somewhere naked if I got to wear those shoes, they could put me in something too small or too big or made of human hair. those shoes are fantastic. anyways. like the dress as is, as long as it fits.
Knowing nothing about fabrics or design, I still think there has to be a problem with the design of this dress which makes the fit a problem. Kristin's is too tight, yes, but Heather's is also ill-fitting. Neither girl's great figures are really enhanced. Eh to this designer, whoever it is.
And I hate, hate, hate to say this - especially because I am exactly the same age as Heather Graham - but I think something this tight and tiny is too young for her.
Ooh! I love it when you open comments!
In all honesty I think that this dress looks dated but not yet retro. Maybe an icon like Siouxsie Sioux, Joan Jett or Debbie Harry could have rocked this in the late 70's, and they would have made it their own with the strategic placement of a guitar, wild hair and some amazing make-up, but on both Heather and Kristin it looks as though they've managed to tame all the interest out of it.
Plus both H and K need to be enrolled in the Selma Hayak school for how to best present your assets, if you know what I mean.
Argh. This is just one of those items in which a few people will manage to look okay-to-good despite the fact that they're wearing it, but which doesn't do anybody any actual favours. I cannot think of ANYthing that would make it not look cheap; putting it in the waste bin is really the only way to make it look better.
I think it would work on Rhianna with that Keith Haring white leather jacket she's been seen in recently and some killer heels. or purple suede booties.
And sweet baby Jesus, K CAV needs to check herself.
I give Heather props for looking great despite getting up there in age, and even though this outfit is pretty gross, at least she didn't duct tape her boobs down in a poor attempt to emulate Roberta from "Now and Then" like KC did.
Wait...are there more cutouts on the back? That's just wrong.
Cutouts are dangerous and almost always end up looking trashy. Let's hope Kristin and Heather don't make this mistake again.
I will give K.Cav the slim nod since I felt I had to pick someone. By the way,K. Cav will make me watch the Hills again. You nailed it right on the head with how she stirs up things ever so calmly as if she doesn't have a care in the world. ha!
I don't see why Ms. Grahm is getting hate from you dear fug girls. She looks pretty cute to me.
I like the idea of putting a contrasting color in the slits--hot pink with the brown and a blue (as mentioned above) with the black.
Colored back panels OR something to cover the shoulders. Regardless of whether or not there are back panels, the illusion is supposed to be of nudity, so fake nudity or otherwise, it qualifies as skin. Cover up something.
Also, both shoes are BORING. If there were colored backing panels or a funky jacket or some such, they could get away with such boring shoes. As it stands, nay.
FAIL. I boycott anyone who puts boobs in a vice though so Heather wins by default.
I think with the nude color and the number of panels, this dress is past 'slutty' and moved into 'sleezy.' I like the idea of a bright backing, but better still is the motion for it to go in the garbage.
At least Heather's appears to be the right size. The other chick has all kinds of strange issues with fit... Perhaps spanx would help?
But, either way, they are both hideous. Looks like seat-belt straps sloppily wrapped by some evil stylist instead of a designer dress. Although, yeah, maybe RhiRhi could pull it off with the right accessories.
Sadly, this dress is a no go. There's nothing left to the imagination - it's all out there for the world to see. I hate to sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but what happened to "less is more"?
Heather's resemblance to Rose McGowan is in the yick, same bad plastic surgeon category. At least Rose was beautiful to begin with, Heather was only cute- and that was in the License to Drive days, which are long gone. Much to Cory Haim's chagrin, and Heather's too, apparently.

Is anyone else as tickled as I am that the bandage dress now has actual gashes and cuts in it? As if dressing yourself in an ace-bandage is not enough on the medical theme. EMERGENCY. Through this dress away.
>>>>I don't see why Ms. Grahm is getting hate from you dear fug girls. She looks pretty cute to me.<<<<
Then that's your vote! The comments are for people to discuss exactly that: would you change anything about the dress in EITHER of its appearances, or did one girl nail it more than the other. I don't think it's a particularly hateful post...
I think red behind the cutouts in Heather's dress, and I agree with blue behind them on K. Cav's. What would this look like if the skirt werea little longer, and the top had straps and more of a V at the neckline? Right now I just want to hold the top up and the bottom down before they both end up with a look like Lady Godiva and a really thick belt or tummy girdle.
Sweet fancy sandwich boards!
You know, there comes a point when being a famewhore is just NO LONGER CUTE. When what a girl needs is not encouragement, but guidance. When the red-carpet directive is no longer "shoot me," as in, with a camera, but the OTHER kind of shooting.
Each of these young ladies appears to need a kind (but stern) older lady in her life ... the type who knows when to go to town on a dress with the sewing kit, or block the door until girlfriend hands over her card to Spray-Tanz R Us.
There is no winner here. But I feel sorriest for the dates of these young women -- and afraid for them, actually, should one of these strained swatches of fabric come loose while the squire-of-the-moment is nearby.
Yeeeeooouuch! That's gonna leave a mark.
I almost wouldn't mind the cutouts--real or fabric backed, flesh-toned or colored--if the rest of the dress covered more skin. Make it end just above the knee, give it a higher neckline and maybe straps or short sleeves, so the diamonds look coy rather than desperate.
P.S. If you look at the swatch of fabric between Heather Graham's legs, it looks like the lining of the dress is indeed flesh-toned. I think Cavallari's tan happens to be the same color as her lining.
With Heather, I could tell what you were going to say - too short, a but slutty, a bit revealing - but let's face it, Heather's still got a great body and if that was what she wanted to show, mission achieved.
When I click on the Kristin link, I think I actually muttered "Dear Jesus" as I saw her top squished out of shape by the dress. It pleads of desperate wannabe, trying to be slutty but coming off as simply cheap and unappealing, like an egg that has been undercooked that still has the gelatinous white goo around the yolk. Simply awful. And I still don't know who she is. Should I know her?
I think the dress is too young for Heather Graham- not that she doesn't have a killer body, NOR does it actually look good on K.Cav, but showing that much skin is really best between the ages of 19 and 24...
I feel like if it didn't have the cutouts it would be kind of boring, but super cute and sexy.
This dress is hideous on both girls. And isn't it funny how BOTH the faces of K.Cav and HG look kind of strange? Is it the photographer, the lighting, or the fuggacious dress making their faces contort? I do approve of K.Cav's shoes, they are much more stylish than the prommy shoes.
i don't think this dress can be unfugged...and i really don't want to see it on anyone else!
if those 2 beautiful hollywood types look like stuffed sausages in it i really don't want to see it sashay down the street on any mere mortals...i have frightening visions of bits of flesh poking out from those lil diamonds
A too tight black tube with ice-skater costume looking "sheer" panels just does not work. I love that both ladies appear to understand this problem but are trying despertately to smile through the fug with clenched teeth. Also, I would have liked to see the pics side by side for easier comparison shopping.
I have to say I like it better on Kristin. Yes, it's too tight, but there's just something about the way the cutouts look on Heather that actually make her dress appear even more ill-fitting. Plus I hate her shoes.
Is it just me, or do those cut outs remind you of the L.A. Gear high tops from the late '80s (http://www.sneakerobsession.com/6180/la-gear-fall-winter-2008-collection/)? Just did a Google Image search and learned that L.A. Gear had a Winter 2008 collection and was reminded that Paula Abdul was their spokeswoman. Does this mean Paula will be sporting this dress soon? I shudder at the thought.
Woah... I so wanted to email this fugly dress... and look at this: it is already posted. No notes from me. There is no "saving" for this dress. And for the record: I can't see this elastic strap look anymore. Even so there are some nice models of it out there. But at least both ladies are pretty.
I am so glad someone else noticed how much Heather looked like Rose McGowan in the first photo!!!
As for the dress...uuuuuugly on both, but I would kill to have Heather's thighs.
Different color cutouts would change this dress from only slightly interesting because is that real skin? to a complete snore. In Cav's case, a complete, boob-squishing snore. In HG's case, a complete, even the shoes are boring snore.
I'd rather look at Kate Walsh's boxy snore than either one of these. At least the color is kind of good.
Oh em geeeez! In the excitement of polling about this dress, I clicked in support of K.Cav which is, like, so totally wrong. I adore Heathizzle's dress. So much, I'm probably going to and daydream about it.
K. Cav looks emaciated, and slightly like a bobblehead. Also, the dress squashes her chest to the point where my own is protesting for her. While Heather's is short, at least I don't feel like running her to the nearest sizing booth. But both of them need funkier shoes.
I actually think it's not bad on Kristin... I feel like the slutty look makes sense on her. I don't mean that as mean as it probably sounds. Ha. But she doesn't need the slits in back. I don't need to see a little bit of the skin on her butt. I really don't.
It looks streetwalkerish on both of them. The cutout has to be a different color if it stays. I like the pink idea. Hot pink. Also, lengthen it a hair. And I still wouldn't love it.
I agree with a few of the posters - I don't hate the cutouts. What I think makes it fug is the cutouts on a short, strapless dress. If it went to the knees, and had straps (maybe with a modest v-neck), then I think it could be cool.
It also clearly needs edgy shoes. Heather's are so gross. And I think one reason Kristin may be pulling this off better is her makeup. Heathers light, shimmery eyeshadow is all wrong!
I'm really over the Herve Leger bandage dresses that everyone and their third cousin is wearing right now. Sure they look great if (1) it is in your right size, (2) is not boring and black like the ones here, and (3) you're a size two, but it has been done. Once Heidi has one in 10 shades, it is time to move on from the trend! But these girls got it particularly wrong.
Actually I think Heather looks hot, and I really don't care for her at all (maybe b/c the boyfriend is such a fan?). I did not want to come as close to seeing her business as we all did courtesy of that second shot...but if I had her body I would dress like that all the time.
K.Cav, on the other hand, looks disgusting. Any dress where your ladies are in such peril of displaying their sad, squished little selves is tacky, end of discussion.
K.Cav looks cuter in general, so I think she could pull it off if she just went up a size or two, because, SERIOUSLY. Although I'd prefer both to be a lot less short.
Ugh. If I have to choose, it would be Heather, ONLY because her boobs aren't squished to high heaven. They don't look happy, but they aren't being tortured like K.Cav's.
I think they both can do much, much better.
I second the Rihanna curiosity...interesting crop-jacket situation and some wild and crazy shoes.
These girls just look OFF in this dress.
heather: needs moar jewelry.
kristin: needs moar bodice.
fug to any and all bandage style dresses. they've been done to death and i think we all need to move on. unless you've cut yourself, no more bandaids!
I realize I'm _just_ a man, but they both look very hot, other than the boob squishage. K.Cav looks very, very...
I'm a little like a fox in a henhouse on this site sometimes, but nonetheless, I'm friends of Stacy and Clinton and I know my fashion.
And I know THIS particular dress belongs all the way up around KC's hips as she dips to the bottom of the pole to take a dollar fom my teeth. And I know that HG should put it back in her younger niece's closet after trying it on for old time's sake.
Its a stripper's costume people, it goes with blacklights, a jukebox, and lucite heels. And that's the ONLY place it belongs.
This has been said before, but if Heather added edgy shoes and a funky leather jacket I would be on board with this look. I love the idea of purple suede booties and a grey leather motorcycle jacket. The dainty necklace and shoes just look misplaced.
When I saw Heather Graham in her dress, I was able to muster up a solid "feh"...as in I have no clue how to make this look good, although it could look a heck of a lot worse.
Then I scrolled down to K.Cav's post.
EW. NO. WHAT? WRONG.
For real, guys. The only way to fix either of these is to pick a different dress.
Aside from coming too close to showing her girly bits, I think Heather looked great on first glance. After seeing Kristin's, though, I'm not wild about the back cutouts. The idea about making them a bright color sounds good. While I prefer Kristin's shoes, the squished boob situation is unforgiveable. Also, Kristin looks... fake, like she used a touch too much bronzer and hairspray. Heather wins.
Better fit and better shoes on both of them would probably make this just fine. A few people are saying motorcycle jacket - I suppose I agree, if it's cool enough out.
I agree that funkier shoes and maybe some bangles would have made Heather's look spot-on.
But I can't help but point out that one woman looks like she is wearing a designer dress tailored for her (maybe a smidge short) and one woman looks like she cut shapes into a dress she found at wet seal.
My question is why is her left knee 6 inches below her right knee??
I voted "Ew to both" on the poll, but on second thought, I actually think I like the way Kristen's wearing the dress - except for the obvious boob problem. Like someone up there said, MOAR BODICE. I think a bit more fabric on top, plus that (as mentioned) it's a bit longer than Heather Graham's, would make the cutouts OK on someone her age. (And I happen to love her choice of shoes.)
Oh God, almost forgot though - no cutouts on the back!! I don't want to actually see her butt, even if it's fake butt.
is it me, or would some black tights save the day with the black dress, at least? Something completely opaque, or even semi-opaque? If they were thigh-highs, it might not interfere with the cut-outs (or if the whole dress was a little longer?). I think once you remove the problem of it being really really short, the cut-outs are kind of cool and punk rock and I think the neckline is pretty, although Heather Graham's breasts are probably a cup size too big to be wearing something strapless, for the comfort alone (and I say this as a girl who spent many a formal event in high school tugging at a strapless bra - it's just not worth it).
I'm really not that fond of this dress. Perhaps, as someone mentioned, color under the slits, but otherwise, no thanks.
The dress is fug on both and would be on anyone. It just looks so... inexpensive. Like they bought it from Forever 21 or something. Mass-produced and low-quality, lengthening one and going up a size on the other would not make them attractive. Plus Heather's shoes are ugly.
I've actually seen this dress a third time. A friend of mine wore it prior to both of them. It's the dress she changes into after her pole dance is over. No joke.
Hey Kristen, just because you can get into it, doesn't mean it fits.
Make it a turtleneck, with 3/4 lengh sleeves.
I agree with my fellow readers who disapprove of the shoes. But I also have issues with the way they chose to style their hair. Clearly they have beautiful manes, but this was not the outfit with which to flaunt it. On Heather I would have sleeked it back into low ponytail/bun. KCav could have possibly benefited from a more relaxed do (maybe curls/soft waves) instead of the 50's style situation she is working with. A dark heavy shoe with a platform could have maybe balanced the thing and made it look less sleazy.
No, no, no wishing RiRi in this! She's so gorgeous and this dress is a disaster. Forget the cutouts and you have a basic strapless black dress; make it an inch or two longer for HG and add some kickass jewelry and shoes. Neither woman has good shoes going on -- Kristin's match the dang lining, for crying out loud!
Not so exciting. You'd think they'd know better. Well, then again, maybe not.
start over, both of 'em.
I like Heather's. I think the low-key accessories kept the dress looking edgy but classy. I'm not nuts about Heather's shoes, though, and I can't say why; probably because they're really close to perfectly matching the dress but not exactly, which always looks tacky. I would go for black peeptoes, or maybe closed toe slingbacks. If not black, taupe/caramel/beige. And I guess it's the slut side of me that really likes cutouts in dresses, so if there is a back panel, I'm glad it's flesh-coloured.
Kristen's tan/boobs makes the whole thing look trashy.
This dress is too tight and boring. I'm really not in love with the cutouts but I don't exactly hate them, either. I think a dress this tight should be a bit longer--say 3-4 more inches. That length would be much more flattering while still curve-hugging, since that would appear to be what they were after. Also I personally think they both could have used a dose of bright color somewhere--shoes, earrings, bracelet, scarf...SOMEthing.
If only I had the kind of money and access to the clothes they do... I know I'd pull out something better than this BS.
The dress serves to distract you from the fact that Heather has done something to her face. What has she done? She looks slightly Rose MacGowenesque.
On Heather I think the dress is not bad though yes a little short, but what's up with her makeup or whatever? She usually looks so pretty but something here is not working.. I'm right with you Sherri..
You know, looking at these dresses just makes me feel old (okay, I'll share, I'm 42) and Midwestern (Cincinnati, Ohio). No matter how toned or tanned or beautiful or whatever you are, you don't wear clothes that make people spend WAY too much time wondering if you are wearing underwear, and if so, how, and how you keep from getting a major case of gaposis (you know, when your blouse gaps and you can see your bra). Hey, that's it. These dresses are just too tiring! I'm also with the folks who think they look like a little girl's craft project! By the way, you guys, this is the ONLY website on the Internet that gets GREAT comments! I love you guys!
Heather Graham somehow looks kind of trampy, whereas KCav just looks like she's trying to wear that *one* too-small dress we've all saved from high school. Thus, my vote is for KCav -- there is something wonderful about a girl successfully conquering that size-3 dress from her first date.
For the record and after careful inspection, I think the cutouts are faux cutouts. A lot of people posting seem to think the dress is just seconds away from showing off each ladies danger zone. Unless the dress rides up, I don't think it's gonna happen.
is ti me, or are these actually two different dresses trying to be the same thing cause of the cut-outs & length. Its like K Cav is wearing the true, structured bandage dress, while HG is wearing a double layer spandex tube. Either way, i prefer K Cav's dress (I'd guess she needs to go up about 2 sizes tho), but HG's shoes. And definitely a better, bolder necklace than either one was sporting. Maybe a fake tatoo up the lower leg too, you know, to finish off teh rocker look.
1. i also noticed that heather looks like rose mcgowan. botox and facelifts on young women...ew.
2. the dress...ew.
3. the dress on heather looks bad, but looking at kristin in the same dress makes me hurt. personally i prefer being fitted with a drawstring waist sans bra, so the support of this (wrap?) dress makes my skin crawl. kristin looks desperately uncomfortable and heather just looks desperate.
4. on heather, this dress would have been wonderful with 3 inches and a solid color. she's beautiful and shouldn't try so hard.
5. why the cut-outs? why?
@ Ranee at 2:30--That is my MANTRA.
I really think that it could work if the cutouts were a bright color (because the idea that actual flesh is showing is what makes this so horrendous). I'd match the accessories to the color.
As is, both are fug, but Heather wins by virtue of having the correct size. (Though I voted ew to both.) Also I prefer the black; I kind of hate brown ANYTHING.
Hi thought starlets dressed up to look ALIVE.
This mummy look is DEAD.
Hi thought starlets dressed up to look ALIVE.
This mummy look is DEAD.
When did she start looking like Rose McGowan?
Sweet fancy sandwich boards indeed. HILARIOUS, Anne B! Aren't either of them embarrassed about wearing the same pile o'rags I mean dress within a few hours of each other? They must not read the Gospel of the Fug Girls, more's the pity.
Wow, Heather Graham's face does not look good. The size is more appropriate, but that's about the only thing she has up on K.Cav. That girl is hot. Hot enough to look better in the dress even when it seems to be strangling the life out of her. I like the brown better, too.
i don't hate either, to be honest. i don't mind the cutouts, and i LOVE the bandage dress - it is usually the best way to highlight an hourglass figure. i don't particularly care for the strapless nature of this style. and i vote for kristen by a hair...i think it makes more of her body than it does of heather's. heather does have an amazing body and a chest to be envious of, but in this she looks sort of average in the chest and trim but shapeless in the figure. also, kristen's over all look makes it a little less serious.
Heather Graham will be 40 next year. Isn't this, um, a bit on the LAMB side? (I mean, RBW copped it bad last week for daring at 40 to wear a mini under a burqa, so...)
I feel like Heather is always trying to send out the "Up yours, strict religious parents dearest" message she started way back with Boogie Nights. Like, must she strap on the metaphorical rollerskates with every outing? Remember: this is why Katy Perry wears bananas. It's just tiresome.
So, yeah, Kristin, definitely more to my taste. I like my clothing without the slick sheen of UNRESOLVED CHILDHOOD ISSUES (+ PLEASE GIVE ME A JOB I'M STILL PORN-STAR WORTHY) all over them.
Heather - make it five inches longer, back the cutouts in burgundy and add those crazy Prada heels with the ruffles on the back that saved somebody's boring outfit on here earlier this week.
I'm not going to psychoanalyze her or even talk about that other person in question. Just get her those Prada heels, stat!
If I were out with a woman who got herself all decked, I would wash, shave, brush my hair, polish my shoes, and wear pressed, clean clothes that fit, and look up, and smile, and TUCK IN MY SHIRT.
And if I were all decked for an evening out, and my date showed up looking like hers, I'd leave him on the curb.
What is with all these "I'm with the bum" deals?
I just wish this wasn't so fast on the heels of the 'tantric sex' interview blurb she gave because now I have to assume that Baby Ira Glass Hipster Doofus up there is the tantree in question and I feel kinda sick.
Somehow, it looks cheaper and more dated on Heather. Like its made from that dodgy shiny fabric that was really popular in the 90s.
On these two? No no no no NO.
On Rihanna or say... Alice Dellal with an awesome electric blue behind the slashes, some seriously fierce heels and a cropped blazer or something, I could be convinced.
And Kristin, sweetie, Im not happy about my size either but lying to yourself so fervently that you insist on squeezing into a dress the width of the average lamppost isnt the way to go.
You know, the person who made the comment about the swimsuit kind of nails a problem for me: in addition to the fact that I just don't like bandage dresses because I think restrictive fabric is...I dunno, adding insult to tanorexia if ya know what I mean. But that fabric also looks short of icky and swimsuit-y in the photos, which is maybe why it's riding up so relentlessly on Heather. The thing looks like something you could get cheap at Victoria Secrets. So we're starting off on the wrong foot with me already hatin' on the fabric, and that means the dress is hard to save.
I just don't like the cut-outs. Changing the color might work, but if we did that, I think I would want less of them, and I would want them arranged differently. The way they fall on the dress do something odd to way these women's figures look, and I'm sure their figures are fantastic.
I think Heather G needs to update her look more generally. She's always been a very pretty girl, but she's not a girl anymore. The lank, ubiquitous blond hippy hair means she looks like any number of starlets (Barton, Lohan, etc). She needs to crank it up a notch--think about when Posh got her bob.
Where's the "OMG that's not Rose McGowan?" radio button? I need that one.
I think that dress on both girls is too little, and also too much-the rule should be either have it short, or tight not both,(do not need to be afraid that along with any appendectomy scars they may have,I will also see all their bidniz-(their LADY bidniz) and the slits make both girls look like plumped up fried sausages splitting their skins(ummm,SAUSAGES)in differently colored pork casings, and neither of them are chunky, they have nice figures,as my mom would say. And I agree with Suzy-not only should those kids stay off my lawn, but they should also stop playing that loud rock music!
I don't understand why everything lately has to be super super tight in order for someone to go outside wearing it. Makes me even more self-conscious! Anyway, I say lose the cutouts. The resulting dress may be a bit boring but it could still be cute. And to avoid the boob-smashing scenario, go up a size! What a thought!
This dress is just so porn. I think cut-outs can work, but the dress should have more edge, or style, or playfulness about it. This just looks desperate.
That is awful.
I'd definitely loosen it. And maybe instead of cutouts fill those in with fabric in a different color? Red or Pink goes well with black..but just about anything would help this outfit.
And she should totally lengthen her dress, it's wayyy to short.
Her shoes are cute, though.
I agree with other posters who hate the dress, period. While some of the Herve Leger bandage dresses can look good, this one is really tacky and cheap-looking (ironic since the thing costs around $2000...) I also think way too many people are wearing them, usually reality TV Z-listers, which is why I wish Heather would have chosen something else. She has been working in film and TV for over 20 years and is naturally GORGEOUS - she deserves to look like a movie star, not some desperate starlet.
I might've been okay with Heather's because it was an impressive trip to leg city. Then I saw the second picture. When the woman behind you has her arms crossed like she's shivering with cold, and your date is wearing a scarf... dude. I'd recommend some pants.
I think Heather looks incredible, body-wise ... not so much in the dress. But would that look good on anyone? Really.
Make it longer, like pencil-skirt length, and move the slits all the way over to the side. They look odd placed where they are, between side and front. I'm glad there's a backing panel, though- very glad. It's giving her a little bit of shelf-boob too, so maybe add a single strap?
Any way you slice it, it's a difficult dress, and I think she's doing pretty well as it is.
The cutouts are for cheap prostitutes around the corner. Period. Drop them.
As for the rest: the dresses are okay, except Kristin's can hardly keeps her boobs inside. The length is also okay, it's a minidress, its purpose is to show the legs, nothing criminal about that. It would look much nicer though with some cute bolero-jacket.
It's a dress that can never redeem itself.
I keep on thinking how sad it is to be wearing the same dress (or at least similar) on different people, on almost the same time. It's good for both of them that neither stepped up.
